We started Kind Ice Cream in 2019 to create a neighbourhood ice cream shop that brought people together. From our first days in Ritchie, we wanted Kind to be a place where everyone felt welcome - somewhere to meet a friend, bring your family, run into a neighbour, and share some really good ice cream.

We love nothing more than a scoop of ice cream made the right way, so we make all our ice cream by hand here in Edmonton using real ingredients. House-baked cakes and brownies, jams made with actual fruit, candied nuts, and housemade caramel go into an ice cream base we make ourselves with local cream and milk, and the result speaks for itself. We give the small-batch treatment to flavours you know and love from your own childhood and new flavours dreamed up by our team, so there’s always something on our menu for everyone. You can read more about our ice cream here!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we’ve grown to add shops in Highlands and Wîhkwêntôwin, and a cute solar-powered summer pop-up, Bestie Ice Cream. As a women, queer and Indigenous-owned business, creating places where people feel like they belong matters deeply to us, and we love getting to know our neighbours and becoming part of the communities around each of our shops.

See you for scoops, babies!
